Super Bowl Best Coacher of All Time
1. Vince Lombardi
Isn't it fitting to have Lombardi at the
top of this list? The man who the trophy is named after, the first coach
to win a Super Bowl, the Hall-of-Famer. It doesn't get any better when
it comes to the best coaches of all time.
2. Tom Landry
Winning 2 Super Bowls during his time as a
head coach with the Dallas Cowboys. Landry is third all time in total
wins in a career and is known for his innovative thinking when it came
to the NFL. Landry invented the now popular 4-3 defense, and has the
record for most consecutive winning seasons with 20.
Noll is tied for the most Super Bowl
victories with four, and is responsible for completely turning around
the Steelers from being a losing team to a contender. Noll won a total
of 209 games and has winning seasons in 15 of his 20 seasons coaching
and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
Being the only current coach on this
list, Bill Belichick has an impressive list of accomplishments, and it
will only continue to grow larger, as he'll have an opportunity to
continue making his way up this list. With 4 Super Bowl wins, Belichick
is tied with Chuck Noll for most Super Bowl wins of all-time, and has
made 6 Super Bowl appearances with 10 AFC championship game appearances.
3. Chuck Noll
4. Don Shula
Shula led the Miami Dolphins to two Super
Bowl victories as head coach, and the only perfect season in the
history of the NFL. He holds the NFL record for most NFL victories with
347, and had only two losing seasons in his 36 year coaching career.
